Round 6 of the OGRL Old Guy Racing League GT3-Coffee Cup series belonged to #1 Ryan Merriam, who converted his pole position into a commanding victory at Road America on Sunday. Merriam led 34 of 38 laps around the 4.048-mile Wisconsin road course, surrendering the lead briefly across four lead changes before ultimately reasserting control to take his third win of the season in the Coffee Cup series. It was a clean afternoon for the pole-sitter in a race that saw zero caution periods, meaning every position gain and loss came under green flag conditions across the full 38-lap distance.

Behind Merriam, #97 Sean Reilly delivered a strong performance, climbing four spots from his P6 starting position to claim the runner-up spot. Reilly held the lead for three laps during the race's lead changes, giving him genuine time at the front before Merriam reclaimed the position. Reilly's podium was particularly notable given that he came home second despite carrying five incidents on his scorecard. #10 Shajee Zuhair quietly moved one spot forward from P5 to finish fourth, while P2 starter #89 Bradley Tidwell slipped three positions to fifth at the flag.

The performance of the race unquestionably belonged to #306 Damijan Horvatin, who launched from dead last — 21st on the grid — and carved all the way through to finish third, an astonishing gain of 18 positions across 38 laps of green flag racing. Horvatin's run to the podium was the most aggressive drive of the afternoon, and in a race with no cautions to compress the field, every one of those 18 positions was earned on track. The result came despite 16 incidents on his ledger, making the final finishing position all the more remarkable.

In the standings, #911 Kiko Lacalle holds the points lead with 299 points after finishing 17th at Road America, but the gap to second-placed Bradley Tidwell has tightened to just five points following Tidwell's fifth-place result. Alex Claudio sits third on 268 points, with Jonathan Williams and Raul Gabriel Pasta rounding out the top five at 262 and 256 respectively. With Lacalle's margin over Tidwell now razor-thin, every clean lap and every position will carry enormous weight as the Coffee Cup series continues.
