Richard Modrich steered the #71 machine to victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Tuesday night, taking Round 3 of the OGRL Old Guy Racing League's ARCA season in a race that saw six cautions and 18 caution laps shape the outcome across 73 laps. Modrich, who started from the outside of the front row in second position, led 51 of those 73 laps and navigated four lead changes to claim the win, scoring 42 points in the process. Pole sitter #17 Ricky Riley could not convert his starting advantage into a result, fading to a tenth-place finish after starting at the front — a costly swing in a standings race this tight. #72 Clyde Cunfer suffered an equally punishing night, sliding eleven positions from his P3 start to finish fourteenth, accumulating 16 incidents along the way.

The story of the race, however, belonged to #22 Kyre Mullaney, who delivered the night's most remarkable performance by charging from 19th on the grid all the way to second at the checkered flag — a gain of 17 positions that earned him the hard charger honors. Mullaney's run to the runner-up spot gives him 35 points from this round alone, and with zero prior wins in this series, a podium finish at Las Vegas represents a significant result for the #22 team. #18 Charlie Stutzman rounded out the podium after starting twelfth, advancing nine spots to third. Behind them, #16 Mitchell Williams led 19 laps from his sixth starting position before settling for fourth, while #6 Levi Wolfe mirrored Mullaney's aggressive charge with a 14-position advance from P20 to finish sixth.

With only two clean drivers completing the 73-lap distance without incident, Las Vegas proved to be an unforgiving track that sorted the field harshly. #99 Ron Walters piled up a race-high 22 incidents on his way to a nineteenth-place finish, while #87 Patrick Rawicz — who briefly held the lead for 3 laps — ended his night in twenty-first after accumulating 20 incidents. #5 Rick Sanchez and #18 Javier Zapata both dropped fourteen and nine positions respectively from strong starting spots, further reshuffling a points picture that was already razor-thin heading into the night.

The standings after Las Vegas are about as compressed as they come. Zapata and Modrich are now deadlocked at the top with 42 points apiece, separated only by tiebreaker, with Mitchell Williams just one point back in third at 41. Brandon Cowell sits fourth at 37 points, and Dylan Foster rounds out the top five at 36. Modrich's win moves him directly into the title conversation, while Zapata's rough night — sliding to P17 — means he holds the points lead by the thinnest possible margin. With three drivers separated by a single point at the top, the pressure heading into Round 4 will be immense for everyone in that conversation.
