Round 4 of the ARCA season in the Old Guy Racing League produced a thrilling afternoon at World Wide Technology Raceway, with #85 Brandon Cowell converting a fourth-place starting spot into victory lane after leading 42 of 80 laps across a caution-free afternoon at the mile-and-a-quarter Gateway oval. Seven lead changes kept the race dynamic throughout, and with 21 cars in the field and zero cautions to reshuffle the running order, track position and racecraft proved decisive. Cowell picked up all 42 of his league points without a single incident on his card, one of only four drivers to complete the race clean.

Pole-sitter #93 Brent Just could not convert his front-row starting advantage into a result, fading to fifth by the finish after accumulating six incidents on the day. He did lead two laps and showed early speed, but the race slipped away from him as #16 Mitchell Williams — the most serious threat to Cowell all afternoon — led 30 laps from his second-place starting spot before ultimately settling for the runner-up position with one incident against his name. Williams, who has one previous win this season, kept Cowell honest for the better part of the race. #22 Kyre Mullaney rounded out the podium in third after advancing four spots from his seventh-place starting position, leading two laps along the way and picking up 35 points.

The hard charger award belonged without question to #14 Javier Zapata, who launched from 19th on the grid and carved his way to a 10th-place finish — a gain of nine positions on a track offering zero caution laps to help anyone. With no yellows to bunch the field or gift free passes, every position Zapata's #14 earned was taken on pure pace, making his run from the back one of the most impressive individual performances of the race. #225 Bryce Grissom also deserves mention, advancing seven spots from 20th to 13th, while #5 Rick Sanchez gained six positions to finish seventh from 13th on the grid.

The standings after Gateway are razor-tight at the top, with Cowell now holding the points lead at 79, just one point ahead of Williams at 78 and four ahead of Richard Modrich at 75. Mullaney's podium pushed him to 70 points in fourth, and Zapata's hard-charging 10th-place run has him fifth at 69 — putting five drivers within a single double-digit gap heading into Round 5. With the top four separated by only nine points, this ARCA title fight is as compressed as it gets, and a single bad race for any contender could scramble the entire order.
