Round 4 of the Old Guy Racing League's Late Model Stock season at Langley Speedway delivered a chaotic Wednesday night of racing, with five cautions shaking up the running order and no driver escaping the evening without an incident on their sheet. When the dust settled, it was the #23 of Wyatt Collins standing in victory lane after converting a seventh-place starting spot into a convincing win, leading 32 of the race's 50 laps. Collins, who carries two all-time wins in the series, records his first victory of this season and vaults to fifth in the standings with 142 points.
Pole-sitter Levi Wolfe in the #29 showed early pace, leading 13 laps from the front before the field reshuffled through the caution-heavy middle portion of the race. Wolfe ultimately fell to sixth by the checkered flag, a tough result for a driver who put the fastest lap on the board in qualifying. Behind Collins at the finish, #21 Jacob Carter held on for second with 48 points on the night, while #16 Mitchell Williams rounded out the podium despite accumulating 14 incidents — the most of any top-three finisher.
The hard charger award belongs to #99 Ron Walters, who made the most dramatic charge of the evening. Starting dead last in 11th, Walters worked his way through the entire field to cross in fourth, gaining seven positions across 50 laps with just a single incident to his name — the cleanest run of any driver in the top five. His 44-point night has him sitting third in the standings at 162 points, 28 back from the top.
In the standings picture, Williams' podium keeps him atop the leaderboard at 190 points, but Carter's runner-up finish tightens his deficit to just four points behind the #16. That four-point gap between first and second makes every remaining round a potential turning point, and with Walters lurking 28 points off the pace in third and Cunfer another three back at 159, the top of this Late Model Stock standings sheet is packed tight heading into the back half of the season.
