Round 7 of the OGRL Old Guy Racing League BMW M2 Series at Lime Rock Park belonged to #7 David Tamira, who converted a second-place starting position into a dominant victory, leading all 25 laps of a caution-free afternoon. With zero lead changes recorded across the race's entire distance, Tamira held the point from the opening lap to the final one, crossing the line for what is his first win both this season and in series history. It is a result made all the more impressive given that polesitter #5 Rick Sanchez, who had the best starting spot on the grid, fell all the way to ninth by the checkered flag — a swing of eight positions that underscored just how decisive things can go wrong at a track that offers precious little margin for error.

Behind Tamira, #074 Ric Wishon delivered a strong run from sixth on the grid to claim second, gaining four positions over the course of 25 laps despite accumulating 10 incidents along the way. Wishon's runner-up result was his sixth podium finish in series history, and it did substantial work for his standings position. #9 Wyatt Collins held his third-place starting spot to take P3 at the line, though the 16 incidents on his scorecard will be a concern heading into future rounds. #72 Clyde Cunfer was arguably the smoothest mover in the top half of the field, advancing four spots from P8 to P4 with 8 incidents — a composed performance that added valuable points to his championship push.

The hard charger award went to #16 Mark Sherman, who charged from the back row — starting 17th among 17 cars — to finish 12th, gaining five positions across the 25-lap run. In a field where 10 incidents was enough to finish second, Sherman's ability to pick through the carnage and recover five spots from a dead-last starting position earned him the distinction of the night. Elsewhere, #14 Andrew McMurray had a forgettable outing, sliding seven spots from P7 to P14 with 19 incidents, while #15 Nathan Biller and #13 Nick Page posted incident counts of 22 and 23 respectively in the back half of the running order.

In the standings, Ric Wishon leads the series with 162 points, but the picture below him tightened considerably after Lime Rock. David Tamira's maiden victory vaults him to second with 114 points, level with #929 Uwe Hale in third — separated only by tiebreaker — while Clyde Cunfer sits fourth at 105 and Pernell Hanelt fifth at 104. With just 48 points covering positions two through five, Tamira's breakthrough result has injected real tension into the points race, and Wishon's 48-point cushion at the top, while meaningful, is far from safe ground with rounds still to run.
