Round 11 of the Summit Racing Series produced one of the most dramatic finishes of the season at Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans, as #337 Lucas Wall converted his pole position into a race victory despite leading just 2 of 21 laps. Wall's win came in a race defined by contact and chaos — not a single driver in the 21-car field finished with a clean sheet, and the incident counts told a brutal story, with #212 James Pearce racking up 17, #1 Peyton Bass accumulating 14, and #62 Ty Corino leading the carnage ledger with a staggering 49 incidents on the day.

Pearce was the dominant force on track, his #212 machine leading 19 of the 21 laps and appearing to have the win firmly in hand. With 3 prior wins on his résumé in this series, Pearce had the pedigree to close it out, but Wall — who had accumulated those same 2 prior wins this season — found himself in the right place when the race was decided. The lead changed hands three times across the 21-lap distance, and Wall's crucial 2 laps at the front were the ones that counted at the checkered flag. Pearce was left to absorb a P2 finish that will sting given how much of the race he controlled.

The hard charger award belonged without question to #1 Peyton Bass, who launched from P16 on the grid and carved through traffic to land a P4 finish — a gain of 12 positions across 21 laps at one of the most unforgiving circuits on the calendar. Bass's run was matched in ambition, if not in distance, by #6 Bryson Richardson, who advanced 10 spots from P17 to P7, and #43 Harvey Horspool, who gained 8 positions from P18 to P10. Meanwhile, the race was unkind to #370 Tyler Kokayko, who started from the front row in P3 and tumbled all the way to P20, a loss of 17 positions that represents the sharpest fall of the day.

In the standings, Wall's third win of the season — combined with #4 Lewis Hunter's P3 — has set up a tight two-horse race at the top. Wall now leads Hunter by just 24 points, 2425 to 2401, with nine positions and a substantial gap separating #911 Dylan Harris in third at 2070 points. Hunter's podium keeps him right on Wall's bumper heading into the next round, and with the top two separated by fewer than a single race's worth of points, every position in the remaining rounds will carry enormous weight.
