Abbrom Ghoston wheeled the #22 truck to victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday night, earning 40 points and his first win in the ATC Truck Series after starting seventh in a 34-truck field. The 110-lap race across the Nevada desert produced 15 lead changes under just two cautions totaling six laps, a testament to the competitive racing that defined the night. Ghoston led 10 of those laps when it counted most, outlasting pole-sitter Justin Frazier's #27 — who faded all the way from the front row to 27th by race's end — and fending off a hard-charging #25 of Bryce Shoemaker, who also enters the record books with a series first of his own, crossing the stripe in second having led 23 laps. Joe Spinelli rounded out the podium in the #26, climbing 14 positions from his 17th starting spot to secure 34 points on the night.
The race belonged as much to Joshua Aultice as to anyone in the early and middle stages. The #94 led a race-high 44 laps before ultimately settling for sixth, a result that leaves points on the table but represents a clear-cut performance that will have other teams taking notice. Mitchell Williams in the #54 led 14 laps and crossed fifth, while Isaiah Fox's #09 added 6 laps of leadership before finishing tenth. Twelve of 34 drivers completed the event without a single incident, a rare display of clean racing on a track that can punish the slightest lapse in concentration.
The night's most electrifying individual story was written by Nate Lesko in the #20, who claimed Hard Charger honors after threading his way from 31st on the grid all the way to fourth at the checkered flag — a gain of 27 positions across 110 laps. Lesko's run earned him 33 points and stands as the defining charge of the evening. Not far behind in the forward-march department, Alex Forrest gained 12 spots to finish eighth in the #77, while Charles Van Schaick moved up 10 to take 12th in the #23.
In the playoff standings, Mitchell Williams' fifth-place run vaults him to the top with 70 points, holding a two-point cushion over Jordan Traas at 68 — a difficult night for the #79, who dropped 17 spots from third on the grid to 20th. Ian Blanchard and Bryce Shoemaker are locked together at 65 points for third and fourth, setting up what promises to be a tightly contested battle through the remainder of the schedule, with Trevor Brownlee at 61 points just five back of that pair in fifth. With the top five separated by only nine points, every stage, every lap, and every incident — or lack thereof — will carry enormous weight moving forward.
