Sebring International Raceway

Anthony Sorrentino turned Round 11 of the FMA World Endurance Championship into a showcase of complete dominance at Sebring International Raceway, leading all 33 laps from the pole position in the #604 entry to secure his fourth win of the season. With zero cautions across the entire distance, the race ran green throughout, giving Sorrentino no reprieve from the pressure of managing the field — yet he never relinquished the top spot, crossing the line unchallenged. It was a controlled, assured performance from the points leader that underscored why he sits atop the standings by a considerable margin.

Behind Sorrentino, the battle for the remaining podium positions was shaped by drivers who made significant gains from their starting spots. #115 Dustin Wells converted a P4 start into a runner-up finish, recording the first podium result of his series career. #16 Cody Deak delivered an equally impressive run, advancing four positions from P7 to claim third place — also his first podium in the FMA World Endurance Championship. Rounding out the top five were #36 Paxton Frith in fourth and #147 Maycon Ghizoni in fifth, the latter having charged up five spots from his P10 starting position to take valuable points.

The hard charger award belonged to #03 Jeremy Eshleman, who gained six positions across the 33-lap distance at Sebring to finish eighth after starting fourteenth. It was the standout position-gain performance of the race, notable given that the incident-free running — no cautions, no big crashes to reshuffle the order — meant every place had to be earned through racecraft alone. Three drivers — #777 Gustavo Ferraro, #20 Adam Brady, and #41 Joseph Spilman — completed the race without a single incident on their records, with Ferraro the most productive of that group, finishing seventh from an eleventh starting spot.

The story of the race, however, was just as much about who fell back as who moved forward. #85 Brian Scott, who started from P2, tumbled eleven positions to finish thirteenth, while #34 Matt Marrs dropped twelve spots from P3 to P15 — the two steepest falls of the afternoon. Those results carry real consequences in the standings. Sorrentino now sits at 3,906 points, a commanding 1,067 ahead of second-place Michael O'Dell at 2,839 — and O'Dell himself had a difficult day, sliding back five positions from P9 to finish fourteenth. Dustin Wells moves to third at 2,515 points following his podium, with Ghizoni and Frith tightly bunched behind him at 2,465 and 2,424 respectively. With the gap at the top growing at this rate, the fight for second in the standings may prove more competitive than the race for the series lead itself.
