Mount Panorama Circuit delivered a 30-lap GT3 battle on Monday night that saw #552 Kris Lashbrook convert his pole position into a race win for Round 12 of the FMA Alpha Reinforcing Services GT3 Series. Lashbrook led 19 of the 30 laps around the famous Australian circuit, but the win was not without drama — three lead changes over the course of the race kept the result in question deep into the running. Starting from P2, #09 Alex Jacobsen was the primary challenger, leading 10 laps and keeping pressure on Lashbrook before ultimately fading to an 11th-place finish, nine positions below where he started. #03 Jeremy Eshleman briefly held the front for one lap as well, finishing sixth. With 29 cars taking the green and zero cautions across all 30 laps, the racing was relentless and unforgiving at this demanding venue.
Behind Lashbrook, #98 Marshall Crocker Jr charged from P3 on the grid to cross the line in second, keeping his incident sheet spotless in what was the only clean run among the entire field. Crocker Jr. added to a season total that now sits at five wins entering this result, and his runner-up finish further extended his advantage at the top of the standings. #32 David Bush III rounded out the podium, advancing one position from his P4 starting spot to finish third — a result that marks the first podium of his career in this series.
The performance that demanded attention throughout the field belonged to #775 Logan Watern, who stormed from 25th on the grid all the way to 12th at the checkered flag, a gain of 13 positions across 30 clean laps at Mount Panorama. That charge earned Watern hard charger honors for the round and stood as the most dramatic position gain of the night in a field where many drivers elsewhere in the running lost ground. #59 Anthony Barranco was the other notable mover up front, climbing nine spots from P14 to finish fifth and adding to his championship points tally in the process. At the other end of the ledger, #101 Jonathan Fort and #132 Nathan Fuller dropped 19 and 15 positions respectively, while #06 Kyle Mavis fell 12 spots from sixth to 18th — a damaging night for his standing in the points fight.
In the standings after Round 12, Crocker Jr. sits comfortably atop the table with 451 points, but the fight beneath him is tightening. Jacobsen holds second at 376 points despite his difficult run tonight, while Lashbrook's win moves him to 362 and right onto Jacobsen's bumper in third. Mavis sits fourth at 358 points, just four behind Lashbrook, and Barranco's strong fifth-place run lifts him to fifth at 347. With Crocker Jr. holding a 75-point cushion over Jacobsen, the pressure on the rest of the top five to find results in the rounds ahead has never been more acute.
