The story of the night away from the podium belonged to Brian Cowart in the #16. Starting deep in the field from 24th, Cowart carved through traffic over 60 laps and 18 caution-lap restarts to arrive at the checkered flag in sixth place — a swing of 18 positions that earned him hard charger honors. Kolin Carpenter in the #1 was similarly impressive, gaining 16 spots from 23rd to 7th, while Patrick Smith's #47 advanced eight positions from 16th to 8th. With 20 incidents on Cowart's card and 19 on Carpenter's, both drivers will need to clean things up, but the raw pace shown through the field was undeniable.

With Round 1 complete, the standings are tightly bunched at the front — Forrest's five-point cushion over Thompson and six-point lead over Lacroix in third means a single bad result could reshuffle the order entirely. Buchanan in the #19 sits just seven points back in fourth, and Mccurdy is eight points off the lead in fifth.
