David Burcicki delivered a stunning season finale performance at Chicagoland Speedway, charging from 15th on the grid to claim his first victory in the RFRL O'Reilly Series championship race. The #92 driver's remarkable 14-position climb through the field earned him hard charger honors and the checkered flag after 110 laps of intense league racing action. Burcicki's flawless drive featured zero incidents as he methodically picked off competitors throughout the race, ultimately denying pole-sitter Ryan Philbrick what appeared to be a sure victory from the front row.

Philbrick's #06 machine led from the pole position but couldn't hold off Burcicki's late-race charge, settling for a strong runner-up finish that netted 35 championship points. Todd Parent completed the podium in third place after advancing eight positions from his 11th-place starting spot, while Brandon Hinton put together an impressive drive of his own, moving up 12 spots from 16th to finish fourth. The race remained remarkably clean with only one caution period consuming just three laps, allowing 13 of the 17 drivers to complete the event without incident.

Tom Ringer entered the season finale holding a narrow nine-point championship lead over Scott Millikan, but his fifth-place finish was enough to secure the title. Despite starting third and falling back two positions, Ringer's 32 points from the finale gave him a final tally of 187 points, six points clear of Ryan Philbrick who jumped from third to second in the final standings. Millikan's eighth-place finish dropped him to third overall with 176 points, while Todd Parent's podium performance vaulted him into fourth place in the championship table.

The championship battle came down to this winner-take-all finale, with Ringer's consistent performance under pressure proving decisive. His title triumph marks the culmination of a season-long campaign that saw him maintain his points lead despite not winning the final race, demonstrating the value of steady finishes throughout the campaign. Philbrick's late surge with 35 points from his runner-up finish wasn't quite enough to overcome Ringer's advantage, but his strong showing elevated him past Millikan in the final championship order.
