John Crosby delivered a commanding performance at Darlington Raceway Thursday night, taking the checkered flag from his front-row starting position to kick off the RFRL NextGen Series season in dominant fashion. The #73 machine inherited the lead early when pole-sitter Zach Angle in the #47 car began to fade, eventually settling for fifth place after leading the field to green. Crosby faced consistent pressure from Tom Ringer's #68 Chevrolet, who advanced one position from his third-place starting spot to claim the runner-up finish, but the championship leader proved untouchable over the 367-lap distance at the "Lady in Black."

The race's most spectacular storyline belonged to Brandon Hinton, who authored one of the most impressive drives in recent league racing memory. Starting dead last in 16th position, the #5 driver carved through traffic with surgical precision to claim the final podium spot, earning hard charger honors with his remarkable 13-position gain. Hinton's charge was complemented by Brandon Yates in the #66, who also mounted a strong comeback drive from 14th to fourth place, gaining 10 positions despite accumulating eight incidents along the way. Both drivers navigated four caution periods totaling 12 laps while maintaining their forward momentum throughout the evening.

The race featured aggressive racing that took its toll on several contenders, with only four drivers managing to avoid incidents entirely during the heated competition. Cody Deak's #13 machine was among the clean drivers, advancing nine positions from 17th to eighth place, while Sam Millikan also kept his #03 spotless while gaining one position to seventh. Notable disappointments included Todd Parent, whose #69 Chevrolet tumbled seven positions from fifth to 12th after accumulating 10 incidents, and
