Jesse Gordon delivered a flawless wire-to-wire performance at Auto Club Speedway, converting his pole position into his first victory of the RFRL NextGen Series season. The #110 driver controlled the 90-lap affair from the drop of the green flag, managing just one caution period that consumed three laps while maintaining his composure throughout the high-speed contest. Gordon's clean driving earned him maximum points with zero incidents, capping off a dominant display on the two-mile California oval.

Championship leader John Crosby mounted an impressive charge through the field, advancing from his sixth-place starting position to finish second in the #73 machine. Crosby's four-position gain, combined with his incident-free performance, allowed him to extend his points advantage significantly while collecting 35 valuable championship points. Tom Ringer completed the podium in third place, moving up one spot from his fourth-place starting position in the #68 car, though he accumulated six incidents during the race. Anthony Hardin fell one position from his third-place start to finish fourth in the #77.

The race's standout performance belonged to jonathan McIntosh, who earned hard charger honors by advancing six positions from his 11th-place starting spot to finish fifth in the #09. McIntosh's clean drive through the field demonstrated exceptional racecraft on the wide Auto Club surface, collecting 32 points in the process. Shaun Dionne also impressed with a six-position climb from 16th to 10th place, while Matthew Tennant suffered the race's biggest disappointment, plummeting 12 positions from his front-row start to finish 14th in the #9.

Crosby's runner-up finish dramatically altered the championship landscape with five races remaining in the season. The #73 driver extended his points lead from a narrow margin to a commanding 76-point advantage over second-place Todd Parent, who moved up from fourth in the standings after his sixth-place finish. Tom Ringer jumped from fifth to third in the championship hunt, while Brandon Hinton dropped to fourth after finishing 16th and failing to score points. With Crosby now holding such a substantial lead, the championship battle has shifted from a tight multi-driver fight to Crosby's title to lose as the series heads toward its final five races.
