Jonathan Burt delivered his first win of the season in the RFRL Elite O'Reilly Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Wednesday, taking the checkered flag in Round 8 after 140 laps of tight racing among a 17-car field. Burt, wheeling the #11, started from the outside of the front row and led 20 of 140 laps, enough to hold off a hard-charging field across a race that saw four lead changes and three cautions consuming nine laps. Pole sitter Zachary Lovelace in the #00 was the dominant force on the day, pacing the field for 73 laps, but ultimately had to settle for fourth — a three-position drop from where he started — in what will sting as a missed opportunity at his home track on the standings sheet.

The battle for the podium was fierce, with Judson Curtis bringing the #29 home in second after starting eighth and leading 20 laps of his own. Curtis, a prior winner this season, kept Burt honest in the closing stages but could not find a way around for the victory. John Crosby in the #73 completed the top three from his third starting spot, leading 27 laps during his stint at the front and running a clean race with zero incidents. Crosby has seven all-time series wins to his name but remains winless through eight rounds this season, and another near-miss at New Hampshire will keep that particular storyline alive heading into the back half of the schedule.

The performance of the night away from the front runners belonged to #5 Brandon Hinton, who earned Hard Charger honors after slicing through the field from 14th to fifth — a nine-position gain across 140 laps. Hinton's run was especially impressive given that three cautions compressed the field repeatedly, limiting the open track he needed to make those moves. Notably, 11 of the 17 drivers ran clean races with zero incidents, a sign of disciplined racecraft at the 1.058-mile oval. Meanwhile, #13 Cody Deak had the roughest afternoon, dropping eight positions from seventh to 15th and racking up seven incidents along the way.

With 16 races still to run in the RFRL Elite O'Reilly Series, the standings tell a story of a points fight that is very much alive. Zachary Lovelace leads with 303 points, but his fourth-place finish while Burt won means the #11 team has sliced into his advantage — Burt now sits 36 points back in second. Tommy Wynne's sixth-place result leaves him third in points at 249, with Judson Curtis lurking just four points behind him in fourth at 245. The fight between Burt, Wynne, and Curtis for positioning behind Lovelace should make the coming rounds compelling, and New Hampshire will be remembered as the night the #11 team announced itself as a genuine threat at the front of this series.
