Jordan Traas added another victory to his resume in Round 15 of the RFRL Elite Truck Series at Pocono Raceway, taking the checkered flag from the pole in a race that saw nine lead changes across 68 laps. Traas, driving the #79 truck, led 17 of those laps and held off a hard-charging field through seven caution periods totaling 21 laps, earning 40 points to extend his advantage in the playoff standings. It was his fifth win of the season in the series, a total that no other driver in the field can currently match. Starting alongside him on the front row, #10 Jesse Gordon led a race-high 35 laps before ultimately fading to a 12th-place finish — a brutal result for a driver who had the speed to contend for the win.
Justin Clapper brought the #63 truck home in second after starting eighth, gaining six positions across the course of the afternoon. Clapper, who recorded his only series win earlier this season, kept his incident count to five and crossed the line to secure 35 points. Rounding out the podium was #68 Tom Ringer, who also advanced six spots from his ninth starting position, picked up three laps led along the way, and ran a clean race — one of just two drivers in the top ten to finish without an incident tally of zero. Ringer's 34-point haul keeps him firmly in the playoff picture heading into the final stretch.
The hard charger award belonged to #13 Cody Deak, who delivered the most dramatic positional swing of the afternoon. Starting 18th in a 24-truck field, Deak drove the #13 machine forward to an eighth-place finish, gaining ten positions on the day. With seven cautions bunching the field throughout the race, executing a clean, consistent run from the back of the grid was no small feat, and Deak's 29-point night will not go unnoticed in the standings conversation.
With five races remaining in the season, Traas now sits atop the playoff standings with 57 points, a 15-point cushion over both #25 Paul White and #85 Dakota Reeder, who are tied at 42 points. Jesse Gordon's difficult afternoon in the #10 drops him to fourth at 38 points, level with Ringer in fifth. The gap between Traas and the rest of the top five will make him increasingly difficult to dislodge, though the presence of seven cautions at Pocono serves as a reminder that nothing in this series is guaranteed.
