Daniel Gore drove the #4 machine to victory lane at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday night, taking Round 13 of the RFRL Elite NextGen Series in a race that featured three lead changes across 95 laps with not a single caution to interrupt the action. Gore, who started sixth, led 41 of the 95 laps and claimed his third win of the season, adding 40 points to his tally. The win was a sharp contrast to the night endured by the front row, where #73 John Crosby and #42 Rob Mooney — who started second and third respectively — both fell to 17th and 18th at the checkered flag, each losing 15 positions in one of the harder evenings for the front-qualifiers in the field.

Pole sitter Pacey Wigent in the #01 was the race's dominant car by laps-led count, pacing the field for 51 of the 95 circuits, but Gore ultimately found a way past and held on for the win. Wigent crossed second, a result that is nonetheless significant — it represents his strongest finish of the series campaign, though the win itself eluded him in a hard-fought 95-lap battle. Carlos Acosta rounded out the podium in the #2, starting eighth and finishing third to collect 34 points on a night where 15 of 22 drivers completed the race without a single incident.

Tom Ringer in the #68 delivered the performance of the night outside the top runners, advancing 11 positions from 19th on the grid to eighth at the flag, earning the hard charger honors. What makes that result all the more notable is its impact on the standings — Ringer entered Charlotte already at the top of the points table and leaves it with a 34-point cushion over Brandon Hinton, who finished ninth in the #5. With 12 rounds remaining, Ringer's 383-point total gives him a meaningful buffer, but Hinton at 349, Acosta at 332, and Tommy Wynne also at 332 ensure the points fight is far from settled.

The race at Charlotte shook up the contender picture considerably. Acosta's podium vaulted him into third in points, tied with Wynne at 332, while Brian Sousa's strong run from 20th to 10th in the #60 keeps him in fifth at 321 points — just 62 back of the leader with plenty of racing left. Further back, early starters Mikal Jones (#99) and Joshua Gillen (#21) — who started fifth and 13th respectively — fell to 19th and 21st, the kind of results that can sting in a tight points battle as the second half of the season gets underway.
