Jonathan Burt captured his maiden victory in the RFRL Late Model Series at Lime Rock Park, overtaking polesitter Tom Ringer during Saturday's 50-lap event. Starting from second position, Burt managed to wrestle the lead away from Ringer and commanded 40 of the race's 50 laps to secure his breakthrough win. The #11 machine earned the hard charger award with his single-position gain, converting his front-row start into a decisive victory despite accumulating one incident during the race.

Ringer, who started from pole position and led the opening 10 laps, saw his championship lead shrink as he settled for second place in the #68 car. Despite his runner-up finish, Ringer maintained the points lead with 188 points, though his advantage over second-place Robert Walton has been reduced to just seven points heading into the final five races of the season. Jonathan McIntosh rounded out the podium in third place, advancing one position from his fourth-place starting spot in the #09 machine.

The caution-free race at Lime Rock Park featured minimal position changes throughout the field, with only the top four finishers managing to alter their starting positions. Marc Holloway dropped one spot to fourth after starting third, while Cameron Gulley, Chuck Burley, Jordan Traas, and Robert Walton all maintained their respective starting positions. The clean racing was highlighted by Jordan Traas and Robert Walton, who were the only two drivers to complete the race without any incidents.

Burt's victory vaulted him to third in the championship standings with 177 points, positioning him as a dark horse contender with five races remaining in the season. The tight points battle at the top sees just 11 points separating leader Ringer from third-place Burt, setting up an intense championship finale as the series heads toward its conclusion.
